Home remodeling, french style, remodeling, home renovations, the home, renovating your home, your home, maryland home renovations“French style” is all about being creative and adding some unique elements to accent the home you’re remodeling.

Consider renovating the objects in it, furniture and other furnishings may need a renovation as well to match your newly “made over” home,

The” French way” of arranging objects is based on one fundamental principle: Balance. That doesn’t mean everything is symmetrical, far from it, it’s using objects of similar visual “weight” to ‘balance” a room.  For example: decorating a room with a lamp opposite a marble bust, with the remaining objects, such as books, plants, etc. arranged in between makes a plain, square room more interesting and decorative.

Add some style to the kitchen/dining area by essentially “moving the patio” inside by adding some light “café” chairs and tables that you see in outdoor Parisian restaurants. It adds a subtle style and makes the space more open and lighter.

Not all art hangs on the wall.  You can fill a larger space by decorative artwork and pictures on tables, mantels or even place large vases or statuary on the floor. Cluster smaller pieces together to avoid the impression of haphazard scattering, but to make you room interesting and inviting.  To make a room appear larger and lighter, choose cooler paint colors that reflect natural light.

Whatever your needs and wishes are, always consult with your renovator and have a firm idea of how you want your “new” home to look and feel. Then you can be assured the finished product is exactly what you envisioned. They are experts in making needs, wishes and dreams become a reality.
